                          Emerging Leaders Program (ELP)

The Emerging Leaders Program (ELP) is designed for promising professionals and faculty leaders who want to advance their careers in higher education administration.   Candidates for this program are seeking to enhance their leadership skills and self-awareness and will have demonstrated to campus leaders the potential for advancement at their campus or another institution.

Candidate packets must include nomination letter signed by candidate’s immediate supervisor or academic manager  and application from the candidate. Complete candidate packets must be submitted electronically by 12:00 midnight Eastern Time, March 7, 2017. Enrollment in the Emerging Leaders Program is limited to 25 participants.

Nominating a candidate for ELP includes the responsibility to mentor the participant and provide guidance and advice on the project, initiative or assignment.

If accepted, an applicant must:

  1. Commit to participate in all of the scheduled sessions beginning at 7:15 a.m. on Saturday, June 3 through Tuesday afternoon, June 6.
  2. Following completion of the seminar portion of the program, commit to participate in quarterly check-ins with the ELP Coordinator and nominating meentor regarding the status of assigned project/initiative.
